Xiangyu Zhang is senior undergraduate student at School of Life Sciences, Peking University in China. As a visiting student in MIT, Xiangyu conducted a research project on pathological mechanisms of neural psychiatric diseases, Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD) and Schizophrenia. After learning about It Gets Brighter Campaign at Rhodes China Forum, Xiangyu has directed IGB-China team to raise the awareness of mental health in China. Xiangyu is going to study for a DPhil in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT in 2015 September.
Ni XU 徐铌 is a medical student from Peking University Health Science Center, China. He is the vice president for external affairs of IFMSA-China （International Federation Of Medical Students）and the founder of the IFMSA-China mental health project. They already finished a multicenter cross-sectional study of Chinese medical students’ attitudes toward mental illness. Ni is also a young researcher whose project is related to cellular and molecular mechanisms of chronic pain. ‘Divine is the task to relieve pain’ Ni always keeps it in mind and hopes less people suffer from disease.
